Project Update

For the past few months, construction crews have been working on Phase 2 of the Santaquin Main Street Project. During the winter months, work has focused on several improvements including removing existing sidewalks, updating underground utilities, and creating temporary asphalt walkways for pedestrian safety.

Stakeholders should expect work to continue behind the sidewalks on both the North and South sides of Main Street until the end of March. Crews will be working to install new storm drain facilities. Impacts to the public are expected to be similar to what residents have experienced for the past couple months.

The next phase of this project will include the reconstruction of the existing utilities and roadway on Main Street from 100 West to 650 West. This phase is scheduled to begin in April, and will continue through November 2025.

Project Overview

On April 1, 2024, work began to remove and reconstruct underground utilities along the southern side of Santaquin Main Street. Construction initially started at 200 East and has been progressing westward to 100 West. This initial phase of utility work on the South side of Main Street will be completed in the coming weeks. During the first week of May crews will begin preparing for new sidewalk on the South side of Main Street starting at 200 East and progressing westward to 100 West. As these activities wind down on the South side of Main Street, crews will move to the North side of the road, again starting at 200 East and moving westward.
