Project History

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface and improve an 11-mile section of US 6 between Elberta and I-15 (milepost 149.9 – milepost 160.5). Two inches of old pavement will be removed and replaced, resulting in a safer and smoother ride and extending the life of the roadway.

Work began on the pedestrian ramps on sidewalks in Santaquin on April 5, with paving expected to begin in Santaquin and moving westward on April 26. Crews will be working on the roadway Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Motorists should expect travel delays of up to 15 minutes associated with one-way traffic. Flaggers will be posted to direct traffic and pilot cars will be used to guide vehicles through the single-lane traffic. To reduce delays, drivers may consider adjusting their travel to earlier in the day or later at night when traffic volumes are lighter.
