Public Notice of Hearing - Foothill Village Blvd Right of Way Vacation

PUBLIC NOTICE

RE:  Right of Way Vacation Foothill Village Boulevard, Foothill Village Subdivision

HEARING TIME AND LOCATION:

Notice is hereby given that the Santaquin City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at approximately 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber, located in the upper level of the Santaquin City Offices, 275 W. Main Street.

THE PROPOSAL:

The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public input regarding a proposed vacation of certain portions of Foothill Village Boulevard, located within the Foothill Village Subdivision. The proposed vacation will convey existing Santaquin City Right-of-Way (ROW) property to the adjacent property owners. 

BACKGROUND:

A trail was planned within the ROW areas proposed to be vacated.  However, due to a future public park that will be located across the street from the proposed ROW vacations, the trail was moved to the other side of Foothill Village Boulevard, and adjacent to the park.  Therefore, the ROW areas proposed to be vacated are no longer needed for City purposes.   

HEARING PURPOSE:

The hearing is an open meeting in which residents will have an opportunity to voice concerns or ask questions about the proposal.  Input received during the public hearing will help the City Council understand potential impacts. This is the only public hearing that will be held on this proposed Foothill Village Boulevard ROW vacation.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would still like your comments presented to the City Council, please email your comments to PublicComment@Santaquin.org by 5pm on November 16, 2021 and your comments will be shared with the City Council during the meeting.
