2023 Employees of the Month

Every other month a worthy employee of our city is recognized as an outstanding employee. It is an honor to work for the city and there are many employees who go above and beyond their duties to make our city great.

December 2023 Employee of the Month - Amalie Ottley

Our December 2023 Employee of the Month is Amalie Ottley. Amalie started working with Santaquin City as the City Recorder in March of 2022. She was previously with Saratoga Springs for seven years as their Justice Court Administrator and, before that, with Sandy City in their Justice Court. Altogether, Amalie has 17 years of municipal work experience. When asked what she enjoys about her job, she stated, “I love working with all the city's different departments each day. I enjoy getting to know my colleagues and helping them.

October 2023 Employee of the Month - McKinzie Bradshaw

Our October 2023 Employee of the Month is McKinzie Bradshaw. McKinzie was hired as a records clerk for the Santaquin Police Department almost two years ago. Because her father was a police officer, McKinzie has always had an interest in police work. She started her career with Utah Valley Dispatch (now Central Utah 911) as a police and fire dispatcher, working there for five years.

August 2023 Employee of the Month - Carla Garner

Santaquin City’s August 2023 Employee of the Month is Carla Garner. Carla was hired just over one year ago as an office clerk in the Finance/Utility Office. A few months ago, when there was a need to fill a custodian position, Carla excitedly jumped at the opportunity to fill that need. She currently splits her time between the Finance/Utility Office and Public Works Department, working one day a week, and then spends the rest of her part-time hours cleaning city facilities.

June 2023 Employee of the Month - Shad Eva

Our June 2023 Employee of the Month is Shad Eva. Shad has been with Santaquin City since 2014 and is currently our Streets and Storm Water Supervisor. When asked about what he enjoys most about his job, he stated, “I like the diversity of the job. It’s great getting to do something different every day. I also really appreciate the other guys I work with.”

April 2023 Employee of the Month - Brian Nilson

Brian Nilson is our April 2023 Employee of the Month.

Brian is an Advanced EMT and Firefighter for the Santaquin fire department and has been on the department for six years. He is a great asset to the department running on numerous ambulance and fire calls. Brian is also a Diesel Mechanic. He has been able to repair and maintain the firetrucks and ambulances to ensure they are safe to respond.

February 2023 Employee of the Month - Hattie Rowbury

Hattie Rowbury is our February 2023 Employee of the Month. She joined Santaquin Community Services staff in 2020 as a program assistant in sports. Her great customer service skills and ability to work with technology led to her promotion as an Administrative Assistant to the Department Director. In January 2022, Hattie was promoted to full-time staff.
