December 2021 Employees of the Month - Mindi Tyler and Lori Silva
Mindi Tyler and Lori Silva are our December Employees of the Month. They are court clerks for Santaquin City and both have worked for Santaquin City for five and one-half years and work part-time.
They are being recognized together because of their excellent cooperative work in a very difficult department. They are also being recognized because of their ability to adapt to major changes, which they’ve seen more than their fair share of over the last year. Courts are subject to federal and state court guidelines, so when COVID-19 hit they had to switch over to all electronic meetings to stay compliant with those higher court regulations. These court meetings required links to be created for themselves, the judge, the attorneys, the defendants, and witnesses. In the middle of learning all of this, our long time Judge passed away and an interim Judge was recruited to fill in until a new judge could be hired, which took more than 6 months. Lori and Mindi are the reason our court has been successful with implementation of new processes and procedures put in place by a new Judge and new federal and state court guidelines.
Mindi and Lori’s responsibilities comprise of all aspects of running a court which include serving as the terminal access coordinators, entering citations, taking payments, tracking cases for payment compliance, adhering to extensive Utah State Court compliance and reporting, and scheduling court hearings for all involved. Both women are very knowledgeable and terrific at what they do.
Thank you both for your dedicated service to Santaquin City and its residents!
